Description:
One Museum Park East is a 67 story residential building standing 726 ft. as the tallest building in Chicago south of Van Buren Street and the second tallest all residential building in the city. Mid-States installed over 400,000 square feet of unitized curtain wall including 1,200 operable vent windows and over 160 balcony and terrace doors with unitized balcony handrails. This project also included vertical column covers that span the full height of the exterior facade along with cladding at the penthouse level. At the base of the building Mid-States installed all of the lower level podium panels and cladding, structural glass doors in the lobby, decorative cladding and louvers. Mid-States utilized custom swing stages and mast climbers in order to install the unitized curtainwall that clads a massive 62 story concrete shear wall at the buildings southwest elevation.
